The Washington Redskins pick OT Selvish Capers in the 7th round
The Redskins picked OT Selvish Capers with the 231st overall pick (7th round) of the NFL Draft. Capers is a big guy at 6′4″, 304 pounds and the thought is that he could add a few pounds to his frame. He is a very good athlete as he was a tight end when he got to West Virginia before converting to tackle. He is more of a finesse blocker at this time but that could change in the pros. He played in 13 games (all starts) for West Virginia last season and finished up there playing in 41 games (32 starts) in his four years. This was a major steal for the Redskins as Capers was projected by many experts to be drafted in the second or third round. He could develop into a starter for the Redskins as early as Week #1 of the 2010 season.
