The Redskins dominated this game last night. Donovan McNabb looked sharp in completing 5 of 8 passes for 58 yards with 1 TD throw. Rex Grossman even looked better as he completed 11 of 18 passes for 140 yards with 2 TD passes. John Beck finished up the game at QB and he didn’t look too good completing 2 of 7 passes for 27 yards. Ryan Torain was the workhorse on the ground for the Skins last night as he carried the ball 17 times for 62 yards (3.6 ypc). Keiland Williams was also sharp for the Redskins last night as he carried the ball 11 times for 51 yards (4.6 ypc) with 2 TD runs. Clinton Portis pitched in with 22 yards on 6 carries (3.7 ypc) last night. WR Devin Thomas looked solid for the Skins last night with 3 grabs for 64 yards (21.3 avg) with 1 TD grab. TE Fred Davis (1 rec, 9 yards) and WR Anthony Armstrong (2 rec, 9 yards) each caught 1 TD pass apiece last night. The Redskins finished up with 140 yards rushing (3.4 ypc) and 212 passing yards last night.
The defense was solid against the pass but not so good against the run last night. Safety Lendy Holmes led the way for the Skins’ on D last night with 7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception. CB Justin Tryon also had a solid game with 4 tackles and 2 passes defensed. The Chiefs finished up with 146 yards rushing (8.1 ypc) and 147 yards passing last night.
