The Washington Redskins sign Howard Green and Ryan Torain
The Redskins have signed 31-year old DT Howard Green and 23-year old RB Ryan Torain to 1-year deals. The 6′4″, 320 pound Green played in 12 games for the Jets last season in which he made 23 tackles. He has now played in 48 games in his NFL career in which he has made 78 tackles, defensed 1 pass, he has 1 sack and he has forced 2 fumbles. Green will likely be coming off the bench for the Redskins if he makes the team. Ryan Torain was picked by Mike Shanahan in his last draft with the Broncos. He played in 2 games in 2008 for the Broncos carrying the ball 15 times for 69 yards (4.6 ypc) with 1 TD run. Torain has a nice upside if he can just stay healthy which he never seems to.
