The Redskins were awful again earlier today as they fell behind 24-3 at the half before showing some pride in the second half.  Jason Campbell completed 15 of 22 passes for 196 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception (which was returned 62 yards for a TD by Falcons’ CB Tye Hill).  The pick six was not entirely his fault as the pass bounced off Fred Davis’ brick hands.  Campbell also carried the ball 5 times for 40 yards (8.0 ypc).  Todd Collins finished up this mess by completing 4 of 5 passes for 12 yards.  Ladell Betts led the way for the Redskins on the ground with 15 carries for 70 yards (4.7 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Fullback Mike Sellers led the way in the passing game for the Skins with 56 yards receiving on 3 catches (18.7 avg).  Santana Moss pitched in with 5 catches for 47 yards (9.4 avg).  The Redskins finished up with 312 total yards in this game on offense (136 rushing, 176 passing).

Safeties Chris Horton and Reed Doughty led the way for the Redskins with six tackles apiece in this game.  But, rookie OLB Brian Orakpo was the best player on the D today for the Skins as he finished up with 4 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss and 2 QB hits.  The Falcons rolled up 306 total yards on offense in this game (181 rushing, 125 passing).  The Redskins are now 2-6 on the season.
