The Washington Redskins need more from last year’s draft picks

In April of 2008 the Redskins selected WRs Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly and TE Fred Davis in the second round of the NFL Draft.  It’s too early yet to call them busts but none of them have played well in the NFL yet.  Malcolm Kelly earned a starting job opposite of Santana Moss this season but he quickly gave it back to Antwaan Randle El after dropping quite a few easy passes.  He has caught 6 passes for 65 yards (10.8 avg) this year.  Those are great stats compared to the numbers Devin Thomas is putting up.  He has caught only 1 pass for 7 whole yards this season.  He might have to go to another team to jumpstart his NFL career.  TE Fred Davis is backing up Chris Cooley so he doesn’t get to play too much.  Still, he has only caught 2 passes for 11 yards this season.  The Redskins need to start drafting better because none of these three guys look like NFL players.
