2. (34) Devin Thomas, WR
The Redskins wanted to get more physical in the passing game and drafting Thomas was a good start to achieve that goal. Thomas is 6′1″, 220 pounds and he runs a 4.5 40. He might be a little bit raw as he was only a starter one season in college…but he was outstanding. Thomas played in 23 games (12 starts) at Michigan State and he caught 85 passes for 1,350 yards (15.9 avg) with 9 TD grabs. Thomas will battle fellow rookie Malcolm Kelly for the #3 WR job on the Redskins this season. This was a very nice pick for the Skins as Thomas has a huge upside.
