Joe Gibbs steps down as coach of the Washington Redskins
Hall of Fame head coach Joe Gibbs has stepped down for a second time with the Redskins as he has cited personal issues as the reason as his grandson is really sick. Gibbs second go around with the Redskins wasn’t as good as the first time. In his four year second run he compiled a 30-34 (.469 %) regular season record and a 1-2 post season record. Gibbs coached the Redskins for 15.5 seasons and he compiled a regular season record of 154-94 (.621 %) and a post season record of 17-7 (.708 %). Gibbs also led the Redskins to Super Bowl Championships in 1982, 1987 and 1991.
