This is an interesting tradeoff as Marshall was more productive than Godfrey was last season with the Chargers.  Marshall played in 15 games (all starts) for the Redskins last season and he made 104 tackles, had 1.5 sacks, defensed three passes and scored a safety.  In his 6-year career with the Redskins Marshall played in 75 games (45 starts) and he made 290 tackles, had 5.5 sacks, defensed 9 passes and intercepted 4 passes one of which he returned for a TD.

Randall Godfrey played in 13 games (all starts) last season with the Chargers and he made 57 tackles, had 4 sacks and defensed 2 passes.  Godfrey has a wealth of NFL experience as he has played in 159 games in his career and he has made 819 tackles, has 17 sacks, defensed 31 passes, forced 17 fumbles and has 6 interceptions (1 returned for a TD).
