What a awful display of football by both the Redskins and the Titans last night.  You know it’s bad when your best two plays of the game were made by undrafted rookies that have no realistic shot of making the Redskins’ opening day roster but that’s exactly what happened last night.  Jason Campbell didn’t look too good last night as he completed 6 of 14 passes for 104 yards.  Mark Brunell followed him in the game and he looked bad too completing 4 of 9 passes for 46 yards.  Todd Collins was the 3rd QB in and he played a good game connecting on all five of his pass attempts for 56 yards.  Derrick Blaylock was the busiest RB last night for the Redskins as he carried the ball 9 times for 28 yards (3.1 ypc) with a TD run.  Rock Cartwright didn’t do much last night as he carried the ball 7 times for only 15 yards (2.1 ypc).  Undrafted running back Marcus Mason from Youngstown State carried the ball 5 times for 22 yards (4.4 ypc) and he scored a TD.  TE Eric Edwards (3 rec, 40 yards) and WR Santana Moss (2 rec, 48 yards) looked to be the best receivers for the Redskins on Saturday Night.  The Redskins wound up running the football 27 times for 77 yards (2.9 ypc) and they completed 15 of 28 passes for 167 yards.  Remember it’s only the pre-season but that offense needs some work.

The defense stuffed the Titans running game holding them to 84 yards on 34 carries (2.5 ypc).  But the Titans completed 23 of 38 passes for 202 yards.  Undrafted rookie CB Byron Westbrook of Salisbury State made the big play of the game on defense when he recovered a fumble in the end zone late in the 4th quarter to help seal the Redskins victory.
