Is the NFL passing Joe Gibbs by?

After watching the Washington Redskins limp through a 5-11 record, one has to think if Coach Gibbs can handle coaching in the salary cap era.  When he was having all of his success during the Hall of Fame portion of his career, their was no salary cap.  For his career, Gibbs is 145-87 (62.5%) during the regular season and 17-6 in the post-season.  Hopefully Gibbs won’t stick with under-performing veterans anymore just because they’ve been around.
