Reality Check Please
It’s gone from bad to worse for the Washington Redskins this preseason. Except for about 7 plays the first time the offense touched the ball, they have been nothing short of putrid. But have we seen the “real” Redskins yet?
According to new Offensive Coordinator Al Saunders, the offense is actually making progress. If you look back at the preseason records of Saunders’ previous teams, they too have been awful. His focus is on finding what certain players can do in certain situations, so he puts them in the worse possible situations to see how they respond. So far, I would say they have responded poorly. But, isn’t the preseason the perfect time to discover what players can and cannot do?
So, have we seen the real Redskins this preseason? We will find out Monday night, September 11 when the Vikings come to town.Â

Well, If the game agains the ravens was supposed to be the manifestation of those offensive improvements, it was a sad day for the fans.
Let’s see, the skins are struggling, criticism in the ES boards is not tolerated, good loyal fans are being banned for expressing their concerns and feelings.
So what is Snyder’s response? To recruit Tom Cruise after he made his blunders publicly??? Adding more stress and burden to the team, as I am sure most of them want nothing to do with Cruise’s fopperies.
So the fan base is upset, rightfully so, some of them kicked off of their own team’s website for being honest. The players are disheartened, and fighting bad press, much of which they earned with a lack of heart and effort. And now they have to fight off and emotionally deal with the the draining issues of Snyder’s and Cruise’s fopperies. I think this poster expresses it well, from ESPN.

The redskins are going to have to fight to win. Let’s ee if they can overcome an owner’s idiocy, a team site’s idiocies, and an upset fan base. Depends on if they are true warriors or fashion models, imho.
I would have to say this is the first teams under Gibb’s command I felt truly sorry for. I am sure he is scratching his head wondering what fell on Snyder’s head. But, I beleive he can pull us through it, if anyone can, it’s Joe Gibbs. We know he has what it takes, but does the owner and his website lackies????
