Undermanned Jets whip Redskins 27-14

No Curtis Martin, No Chad Pennington, you would think the Skins by three TDs…..wouldn’t you?  I hope you didn’t call the bookie and bet the rent on the Skins.  What a horrible display of football.  How do you let a bunch of castoffs and rookies rush for 216 yards against your defense?  The bad thing is, the Jets didn’t even try to pass and ran all over the Skins.  The Jets controlled the ball for 37:31 of the game.

The quarterbacks look like they need practice throwing to Redskin players on gameday.  At least Mark Brunell didn’t throw a pick, as he completed 3 of 6 passes for 45 yards.  Jason Campbell was next in the game and he looked lost out there.  Campbell completed only 6 of 13 passes for 83 yards and a pick.  Todd Collins looked better completing 12 of 18 passes for 114 yards and a TD, but he also threw a pick.

Mike Sellers looked good on his three carries, rushing for 26 yards.  Rock Cartwright carried the ball six times for 20 yards and a TD.  WR Jimmy Farris was the leading receiver catching 5 passes for 65 yards.

The only silver lining is that this was just a “practice game”.
